Osceola Fire Department

The Osceola Fire Department is currently providing services to our community with a roster consisting of a full time Fire Chief, fifteen (15) firefighters and nine (9) part-paid firefighters. The fire Department provides all the fire and rescue services to our community and approximately 30 square miles of Mississippi County including 40 miles of I-55.

The Department currently operates out of two (2) fire stations. The main station is located at 200 N. Carthon Drive and Station #2 is located at 702 S. Ermen Lane. The Department operates a fleet consisting of two (2) ladder trucks, four (4) pumpers, one (1) Mini-pumper/Rescue Truck and two (2) support vehicles.

It is the goal of the Osceola Fire Department to provide the best protection, education, inspection and investigation to reduce the loss of life and property in our community.

The Osceola Fire Dept. just took delivery of or new 2011 Smeal fire truck. Ole Red Fire App. was the dealer for Smeal. The truck is on a Spartan Metro Star Chassie, 1250 GPM Waterous Pump, 425 Hp with a auto Trans.1000 gal. water tank, Cross mount pump panel, and 2 hyd.reels for are rescue equipment. It will run on all fires and Rescue for the city.
