Residential Garbage - Schedule & Services

The fee for household garbage services is $15.00 monthly, which is added to the electric bills that are sent out each month, this fee also covers the pickup of leaves, limbs, grass etc.! Our sanitation rates are some of the cheapest in Northeast Arkansas and our employee’s and the job that they do is second to none!

The City of Osceola is divided into two sections (east and west) for household garbage pick-up, each section is picked up twice each week, the sections are separated by Elm Street.

Garbage on every street east of Elm Street (including Elm St.) is collected on both Mondays and Thursday, while garbage to be picked up west of Elm Street is collected on both Tuesdays and Fridays! Our curb side service begins at 8:00 am each day, all residents are asked to have their garbage out at the curb by 8:00 am to ensure pick-up, this service continues until all the household waste is collected each day! In which case that one of the scheduled pick-up days falls on a holiday, there will be notification of the revised schedule in the local newspaper (The Osceola Times), the week prior to any such interruption or you may call City Hall @ 870-563-5245 for information!

The Sanitation Department provides each resident with two rolls of garbage bags per year, there will be a notice sent to each resident along with their electric bill in both March and September!
