Other Services & Responsibilities The City of Osceola provides the pickup of leaves, limbs, and grass at no additional charge to the residents of Osceola, this service is covered under the $15.00 monthly fee that also covers household garbage service. Our city is divided into four quadrants for our yard waste pick-up and each quadrant has one scheduled day dedicated for pick up. Although the city only guarantees one day for each quadrant, a resident can call into the Street and Sanitation office @ 870-563-2612 and request service and in most situations we will accommodate them within a day or two. The city also will pick up most any type of waste such as furniture, appliances, etc. for a fee. These fee’s are based on volume and vary depending on size, weight, etc. The city also has it’s own street sweeper that operates daily, weather permitting! Our Street Department also repairs all potholes on city streets and we also do all of our small overlay projects ourselves. If a resident is aware of an area that needs repaired, we ask that they call the Street Department office at (870)563-2612 and report it, in most cases the area will be repaired within a couple of weeks or less, depending on weather conditions and product availability. The city of Osceola also does annual repairs on a much larger scale that is always contracted out by bid. The Street Department is also responsible for signage along the city streets and we encourage our residents to call us if there is a issue that requires our attention! |
